The India Railway System is the biggest railway network in the entire world. No matter how efficient management system they develop, it’s bound to get overloaded due to the large number of commuters. To assist the already existing user information system, the government of India has launched its mobile phone information system counterpart.
There is no more fuss now, the users just need to use a single number for every king of information they want and the number is 139. The new all India railways information access number 139 allows passengers to access train information like PNR status, current train schedule, fare inquiry and accommodation availability anywhere, anytime through SMS on their mobile phones.
This SMS service however is provided only by Airtel, Vodafone, MTNL, Idea, Aircel, BPL and TATA customers which almost covers all the mobile users. But what about those who use BSNL or Reliance, as a matter of fact, BSNL which is india’s largest telecommunication government company is not on the list. But it’s not too far that BSNL and Reliance also going to be included in the list.
The cost of the SMS is premium, that is Rs.3/- per SMS. Most of the people have to say that the SMS rates should also have been kept nominal, why opt for premium SMS charges. Here are some
