With the increasing data speeds for mobile communication, more and more multimedia rich applications are being developed. One such field is the internet TV; there are many applications already available that let you watch many internet channels but the number of channels are often quite limited. If that’s what you are looking to overcome, then this application called Spb TV can certainly be the one for you.
With Spb TV installed in your symbian phone you can relish up to 100 channels just as you do in your home television. Different people have different opinion. While some say that it’s the unnecessary wastage of bandwidth, previously you had less crap to watch and now you will waste more time browsing through the channels while the others say that entertainment has no boundations.
In most of the application or rather I should say all the applications, you can view the local regional channels only but Spb TV provides some of the major international channel feeds also. But all this would come at a cost. You will have to buy the premium version of Spb TV but if you want to try it first you can download the free evaluation version but with the limitation that it gives only around a dozen of channels.
Despite the goodies there are some drawbacks which are not essentially the flaw of Spb TV. For instance there is a noticeable delay in audio or better referred to as lag in voice, which means that there is a problem in lip sync. Moreover the frame rate also seems to be an issue where the fps varied from 2 to 10. There are many factors for the above issues; it could be the platform problem or also the bandwidth limitations.
